Senior Project Architect
As Partner and Senior Design Architect at John Ciardullo, P.C., Chuck has developed strong relationships with clients by providing direct, efficient and effective communication. Trusted to design new buildings, additions, and a variety of renovation and modernization projects, Chuck has led the office to meet each opportunity with confidence. Throughout his career, Chuck has sought to create socially responsible environments that inspire and encourage awareness of the human condition. In the normal course of a project this may begin with a study of the locale to better understand the active forces on a site; its use, context and access, in effort to promote and enhance positive characteristics, resolve conflicts and recommend buildable solutions. His recent work designing schools, notably Beacon High School, an adaptive reuse project in Manhattan for the New York City School Construction Authority and the Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy, a new charter school located in the St. Nicholas Houses public housing development in Harlem, have been recognized as providing a beneficial impact within their communities.
Chuck holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic University and is a licensed architect registered in the State of New York. He joined John Ciardullo, P.C. in 1987 and has been involved with the design of houses, community developments, and apartment buildings as well as numerous schools in and around the New York City metropolitan area.
