Ardeny Goris, PE
With a natural aptitude for engineering and design, Ardeny has been instrumental in completing structural designs on numerous new construction and adaptive reuse/retrofit projects. He possesses a broad range of technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills that allow him to tackle difficult engineering problems and propose logical cost-effective solutions to clients. He is accomplished at supporting and advising the firm’s supervisors and architects as well as managing and coordinating with outside engineers from the early phases of a project through construction.
Recently, Ardeny performed the structural analysis and design for the IS 323M project. The IS 323M project consisted of converting an office building built in 1919 for use as a modern state-of-the-art middle school. The school required a double height gymnatorium. To accommodate the gymnatorium on the sixth floor, part of the existing seventh floor slab was removed. The existing steel framing on the sixth floor was replaced or reinforced. New 60 feet long castellated beams were designed to create a column-free space for the gymnatorium. Ardeny was part of the project from the initial existing conditions survey to shop drawing review and field inspection. IS 323M is scheduled to open for the Fall 2018 school year.
Reinforcing the firm’s multi-disciplined staff, Ardeny also holds a degree in Telecommunications Management and is the firm’s IT Manager. His duties as IT Manager include network management, data security & recovery, AutoCAD and BIM Management. He is responsible for the management of the BIM models throughout the design and construction phases of the project.
Ardeny earned his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Management from NYIT and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He is a licensed engineer in New York.
